2 weeks in Didim

After a long wait the world cup finally arrived. Everything was so exciting untill England showed how pathetic they played and rightly kicked out by zee Germans but hey, we are used to getting beat at the world cup by them and give them the honour of winning something (not going to mention wars here).
With a fistful of quarter final tickets in hand we headed out on July 2nd on a direct flight from Istanbul to Jo'Burg. Flight was packed and had some Romanian sat next to me who asked if English ...

Day 1
Left Istanbul at 9am and took the road to Izmir via the Eskihisar-Yalova ferry boat. Price of a ticket for a car has gone up 50% in the last year but there are more ferries now and we drove straight on to one and it left one third full. Got bollocked for smoking and didnt want to smoke in the car so had to go without. They have toilets but they are hold your breath ones and not a good idea to inhale in them.
