Hello.
Don't flame me.
Now that I've got that over with I have a tax question:
After 7 months of asking I have a payslip. It says 'Gelir Vergisi orani 10%' on it as my income tax.
I thought that income tax in Tukey was 35% for people earning more than 50k pa.
When I asked the accountant about this he said it's for 'Hizmet Alimi' - 'services, not products' and that the tax on services is 10%
From the way that sounds then everyone would be on 10% - no? So why does this link say 35% and this link not mention anything about 'services' at 10%?
Is there a foreigner / non Turkish tax bracket for 'Services'?
Yes I know nobody here pays tax and blah blah 'It's Turkey' etc. That's all been covered in many other threads. Useful answers only please.
