    Default Applying for work permit (without a Turkish residence)

    1) PRIOR TO ARRIVAL – ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

    Step1: 2 ½ months before the intended arrival of the transferee

    First application for the work permit has to be done to the Turkish Embassy at origin by applying for work visa. While applying for work visa, the transferee must present the following documents to the Embassy;
    • His/her work contract,
    • A letter written by the transferee’s employer that is demanding for a work visa on a company headed paper ,
    • 4 passport-sized photos,
    • The original of passport,
    • A form that will be filled out at the Embassy (this form will be provided at the Embassy)
    Step2: Work Permit Application -Process time: Approximately 2 months

    - The Assignee must notify their immigration agent immediately after applying for the Work Visa.

    - The immigration agent then immediately proceeds to apply for the assignee’s work permit at the Ministry of Labor (They have 3 working days to get this done)


    Documents needed :
    • Foreign personnel application forms (4 copies to be filled out with the company and applicants signature on the back)
    • Notarized and translated copies of passport and diploma
    • Applicants CV
    • 4 passport size photos
    • A letter of employment that is addressing the Ministry of Labor and Social Security
    • A document provided by the Turkish companies accountant to show the last years tax payments and profit loss table
    • A document to show there are no current outstanding debts with the tax office.
    • A document showing last months payments to the social security department of current employees
    • Trade gazette photocopy to be stamped and signed by authorized personnel of the Turkish company showing the entry of the applying Turkish company.
    • Notarized copy of authorized company signatory
    • Notarized power of attorney
    - The immigration agent then receives the Work Permit and sends a copy to the Assignee, and the original to the local HR in Turkey (original is kept at the company to prevent any loss)

    - The assignee must go in person to Turkish Embassy - where he/she made the work visa application at the country of origin- to collect his Work Visa.

    2) ARRIVAL – LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

    Step 3: Obtaining residence permit - must be done within 30 days after receiving Work Permit

    Processing Time: approximately 5 working days

    The necessary documents needed for residence permit;

    • Letter to security department
    • Original passport
    • 5 passport-sized photos
    • Copies of the below company documents
    -Trade gazette photocopy to be stamped and signed by authorized personnel of the Turkish company showing the entry of the applying Turkish company
    -Notarized copy of authorized company signatory
    -A document to show there are no current outstanding debts with the tax office.

    - Immigration agent gathers all information and submits application to the Security Department

    - Once the Residence Permit is ready to pick up, Immigration agent notifies the Assignee and sets a time and date for pick up (assignee must physically pick up their residence permit)
