    Thumbs up What a barber experience!

    I have a friend visiting from Holland who was determined to have another Turkish barber experience while visiting since he can't get that in Holland.

    We ended up at AHMET BARBER SHOP on the same street as James Joyce and Baraka Bar (balo sokak, off istiklal).

    2 hours of pampering-- the haircut, head massage, face massage, shave with a straight razor, etc-- with a congenial lad Gökhan who is İlhan Mansiz's doppeganger. It cost only 30tl and was the most fastidious men's grooming experience I've ever witnessed.

    Any gent looking for a good barbershop experience should try this place.
