Eskisehir--Good place for a year or two?

I loved Eskisehir. I was there in January and it was COLD. (I grew up in Wisconsin so I don't toss the word "cold" around lightly). There are 2 large universities in the city and it has a vibrant, young population. I found everyone to be very helpful and friendly. The city is well-organized with a multi-line tramvay system. There is a river which runs the length of the downtown region and despite the cold the street cafes and restaurants which lined the river were packed. I felt there was a really pleasant vibe to the city.
