    Default Relocating to Ankara

    Hmm... I hope this is an appropriate area to post this thread.

    So here is a question about relocating from Istanbul to Ankara. I think that maybe it's somewhat common, that after awhile expats may move from Istanbul to another city in Turkey? Or perhaps everyone stays in Istanbul :-P Either way, for those heading to Ankara, I felt this could be a relevant thread.
    Can any members advise regarding their experiences in the following areas?

    * What are the different areas/districts of Ankara, and what are they like (i.e. what do you go to that area for? A bar area? A working area? University area? Etc)
    * What are some working options in Ankara, and how does one find them?
    * Best ways to get around/transportation?
    * What do people generally like to do / where do they like to go when not working?
    * Where to find some furniture basics, i.e. dresser?
    * With whom might I be able to establish an Ankara branch Thirsty Thursday?
    * Anything else someone moving from Istanbul to Ankara might need to know!
