I've been slowly working away at a business idea. I'm testing the water before doing anything official.
Thing is, I can't seem to find information on what official would be for an editor/writer/consultant or other type of freelancer. I can't find anything about how to declare yourself self-employed or anything about social security or tax involved. This leads me to conclude either I'm missing something or such a system doesn't exist in Turkey.
I know I can set up a business, deal with renting my own living room, accountants fees etc. But the monthly expenses would be beyond me at the moment. I hold Turkish citizenship, so setting up a business shouldn't be too much of a problem.
But is it necessary or is there a way to be self-employed without having to set up a company?
I'd be grateful for any information anyone might have.
Catherine
