Bringing your car/motorbike to Turkey

If you are a tourist-visa holder you can bring your vehicle to Turkey for a maximum period of 6 months a year. The vehicle will get its own kind of visa called a 'triptik'. Your vehicle will be registered in your passport. With the car registered in your passport you cannot leave the country unless you put your car into a customs car park.

The only people who can their keep car here for longer then 6 months are:

1-Holder of a work visa

2-Holder of a student visa

3-Holder of an investigation visa

4-Holder of a retirement visa

You will then need to have it re registered to a Turkish license plate.
