Default Best fish restaurants in Istanbul

SOME RECOMMENDED FISH RESTAURANTS IN ISTANBUL

    (1) HIGH END
    * Rumeli Iskele, Rumeli Hisar (excellent waterside location, excellent food: highly recommended by JC/Utabe)
    * Del Mare, Cengelkoy (take the tiny boat across the Bosphorous from Kurucesme pier and bask in the old-skool splendour whilst enjoying excellent salted fish: highly recommended by JC)
    * Set Balik, Tarabya (wonderful mezze and not over-priced: highly recommended by Jonny/Esbie)
    * Kiyi, Tarabya (excellent fish not so good mezze: highly recommended byJC/Jonny but thumbs down from Utabe/Pony)
    * Park Fora, Kurucesme (an old favourite, recommended by Pony but less so by JC)
    * Bebek Balikci, Bebek (old skool wooden waterfront style without the pretence of Posiedon and excellent fish: recommended by JC)
    * Doga Balik, Cihangir (great fish but expensive and not the best staff in the world: recommended by JC)
*Balikci Sabahatin, Sultanahmet ("my favourate fish restaurant in this area- love the open courtyard garden in the summer" JC)
    * Angel Blue, Emirgan (a favourite of Tex)

    (2) MID-PRICE WITH BOOZE
    * Lipari, Arnavutkoy (wonderful, wonderful, wonderful local fish restaurant: highly recommended by JC/Utabe/Jonathan)
    * Cibalikapi, Cibali nr Kadir Has University & Balat and Moda Tarihi Moda Iskalesi Yolu (this great mid-range chain also serves some surprisingly good starters: highly recommended by JC)
    * Balik Noktasi, under the Galata Bridge (recommended by Saloma but ask for the prices in advance)
    * Kireme, Cicek Passage just off Istiklal Cadessi Taxim (recommended by the Chick family)
    * Giritli, nr Kadir Has University (lovely sturdy building with views and good food: recommended by JC)

    (3) LOW-END FRESH FISH BUT LITTLE/NO BOOZE
    * Open air fish market, Karakoy (fresh air and fresh fish: highly recommended by Jonno Wales/Utabe/Fonzi Kermit)
    * Adem Baba, Arnavutkoy (still great local fresh fish: recommended by JC)
    * Triviana and Takarik, Yenikoy (recommended by Utabe)
    * Carrefour, Unraniye (recommended for blue fin tuna by Pony)

Does anyone have any other recommendations recommendations of fish restaurants?

"Recent work suggests that there is an evolutionary as well as developmental link between the fact that we love our children and the fact that we love our mates. That love allows childhood to take place. Its as evolutionarily important and as deep as sex. But that love also goes way beyond just the relation between biological mothers and their children or between sexual partners. Theories of love aren't just important for mothers or fathers or children but for everyone." Alison Gopnik- The Philosophical Baby
