For those on the Anadolu side, I can recommend Ünlüer Gurmet on the sahil in Maltepe for weekend brunch. Great selection, closed in area for children to play, and real grass to kick off your shoes and sink your toes into. Last year it ran at around 35tl/person--haven't yet been this year but am planning to take MIL for mother's day.
