    Update on our case in case it interests anybody. Yesterday we turned up at the court for the first court hearing at 11 am and waited for our lawyer to arrive from Ankara. Wasn't really stressed out (except by 2 minutes to 11 my nails were bitten down to the bone). Luckily the accused did not turn up and just sent his lawyer. Ours came out of the hearing which had actually been advanced half an hour earlier. The accused recognises he took all our money (well, with the proof of the bank transfers he couldn't really deny) and now just wants to give us the Tapus. Our lawyer insists on the fact that the initial contract was illegal and thus should be cancelled and proceed to a complete refund plus extra for moral compensataion. Next hearing in April.
    At least now he is in the middle of a court hearing the Tax people will start looking into his declarations and whatever and last night I slept like I haven't done for ages whilst thinking that he probably wouldn't.
